Good Afternoon!

Our 1^st home meet is tomorrow, June 19, 2024.

• Time of meet: Be at the city pool by 6:50 am. Our warm up is 7:20 am. Meet starts at 8:10 am.

• Heat Sheet: Attached is the heat sheet for tomorrow. Please note that we will be combining events as needed tomorrow. Also, because our pool is 50 meters, there is no 25 meters “short” freestyle race for the 10 and under age groups.

• Volunteers: Thank you to everyone who has volunteered so far. We only need a few more volunteers for timers and for lane judge (writing down the order the swimmers finished). If you haven’t timed yet, this is a great first meet to time at. You can reply back to this email, or sign up in Swimtopia. We will be having a volunteer meeting at 8:00 by the guard shack.
• Items/help needed - We need one (or 2) more shade structures to use by the starting blocks (to provide shade for our swimmers/timers). If you want to help us set up shade structures, we could use some help tomorrow morning at 6:30 am.

• Sitting arrangements: We have 1 team joining us (Belen).
  • Belen swimmers- set up in the shade structure by the basketball court.
  • Socorro Swimmers - set up in the grassy area by the basketball court (feel free to bring shade structures for your swimmers). Parents can sit in the back area with the swimmers, in the bleachers, or around the pool deck (be sure to leave room for the guards to walk along the pool).

• Concession Stand:

We will have a concession stand at the meet (a HUGE thank you to Kathy Spring & Gina Egler for organizing it). Be sure to bring cash to purchase delicious treats (burritos, snacks, drinks, etc.) and some fun croc charms.
