SHS SWIM CLINIC  (Click here to sign up)

The SHS Swim team will be hosting a swim clinic fundraiser starting May 7th at the NM Tech Pool. This is a great chance for the swimmers to get ready for the summer season and support the SHS swim team.

There is a $75 suggested donation for each swimmer to support the SHS Swim Team. Donations will be collected on the first day of clinic attendance. Checks can be made out to the Socorro High School Swim team.

SHS swim team (swimmers & coaches volunteering) will be teaching basic swim skills & progressive skills for each competitive stroke. Each week will focus on a different swim stroke. We know this is a busy time of year and swimmers might need to miss a few practices, which is ok. You can just let their coach know the day(s) they will be absent.

Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays in May at NM Tech Pool (starting May 7th)

Age group times (age as of May 1, 2023)
6:00 pm -7:00 pm - age groups 8 & under & 9-10

7:00 pm - 8:00 pm - age groups 11- 12 & 13-14

Note: ALL NEW swimmers must be able to:

• Step or jump into water over the head and return to the surface
• Turn around and orient to safety as well as turn over
• Float or tread water

This is a great way to get ready for the summer season and support the SHS swim team.
