Good evening!

It is hard to believe this is the LAST week of swimming. Thank you for signing your swimmers up. We have had an amazing time and have seen such HUGE improvements in the swimmers! Please see the schedule for the week below (as well as info on the swim banquet):

Tuesday - Morning and evening practice for ALL swimmers

Wednesday - District meet @ Albuquerque Country Club (601 Laguna Blvd SW, Albuquerque, NM 87104). There will be a bus available for this meet. 

• Time: Please be at ACC by 7:15am. Warm up is 7:40am. Meet starts at 8:10am (approximately). 
• Bus: Have your swimmer to the city pool by 5:55 am. Bus leaves at 6:00 am if they want to ride the bus. 
• Volunteers: We need a total of 8 volunteers. 4 for each half. For each half, we need 2 timers, 1 runner (taking the pages from the timers after each heat to the results room), and 1 lane monitors (helping make sure the correct swimmers are lined up in each lane). Please sign up for volunteer positions in Swimtopia, or reply back to this email.
• Relays: - There are NO relays at district. The fastest swimmers in each age group are determined for relays and entered for Sundance Finals. There will be relays at Finals.
• Qualifying: The top 3 fastest over all in each event (ie, top 3 over all in girls 8 & under backstroke, not top 3 in each heat) automatically qualify for finals on Saturday. The next fastest 7 ("wild cards") in each event league wide will be determined at our Sundance meeting Thursday evening. Those swimmers will be notified Thursday evening. Relays have also been decided and swimmers will be notified of those Wednesday afternoon (or you can see them in swimtopia under district). 

Thursday and Friday mornings -  Morning practice ONLY for swimmers only who qualified for finals (individual or relays). It will be a combined practice from 8am - 9am. No evening practice.

Saturday - Sundance Finals!!! There is NO bus for this meet. For those who qualify  - Be at West Mesa Aquatics center by 7:15am. Warmup is 7:50am. Meet starts at 8:40am. 

July 23, 2022 (Saturday) - Swim banquet. ALL swimmers are invited. It will be at 11:00 am at the city pool. We will have a brunch potluck, awards and swimming after. More info to follow.
