Happy July!

We are on the final stretch of swimming. Please see the upcoming dates below, and important information for each one.

July 9, 2022 - Socorro Meet:  Please remember, there are no 25 distance events. Everything is at least 50 yards. 

• Entries due: We need to have all entries in by Thursday evening.
• Time of meet: Be at the city pool by 6:45 am. Warm up 7:00 am. Meet starts at 8:10 am.
• Volunteers: We are still in need of volunteers for timers. This is a GREAT first meet to time. The times don't count toward district, so there is not a lot of pressure if you are new to timing. 

July 13, 2022 - District meet. Please remember your swimmer need to swim in 2 regular season meets in order to participate in district. 

• Entries Due: It is extremely important you either sign up your swimmer, or let the coaches know if they will be attending district. We cannot add late entries. Entries are due Thursday night. Please note, when you sign up your swimmer on the app, you can only say if they are available or not available for the meet (not choose the events). The coaches will put swimmers in the events they feel they will do best in. 
• Location - The district meet will be at the Albuquerque Country Club (same location as last Friday). Time and more details to follow soon.
• Volunteers - We will need volunteers. We will find out more information Thursday evening. 
• Bus - There will be a bus available. More info to follow when we find out the start time. 

July 16, 2022: Sundance Finals. To qualify for Sundance finals, swimmers must finish in the top 3 overall in their age group (not just their heat) in their individual events at district. They will then take the next fastest 7 among all the districts (called wild cards). This is for all swimming age groups. We will know the wildcards on July 14, 2022 and will notify parents as soon as we know. 

July 23, 2022: End of Year Swim Banquet- We have tentatively scheduled the end of year swim banquet for Saturday, July 23 at 11:00 am. We will have a brunch potluck, give out awards, end of year gifts and have some swimming time.
